The Synestrology API is powered by the Swiss Ephemeris, the same astronomical engine used by professional astrology software worldwide. Planetary positions are computed to sub-arc-second precision for any date between 1900 and 2100. This is the same calculation layer behind our public tools, now being packaged for programmatic access.
All calculations are self-contained. There are no external API dependencies in the chain. Natal charts, Human Design bodygraphs, and numerology profiles are computed entirely on our infrastructure. The API returns structured JSON from REST endpoints, rate-limited per tier. Authentication is handled via API key.

Do I need to understand astrology to use the API?
You can integrate the data without astrological training. The API returns human-readable labels, and the AI narrative tier generates plain-language interpretations. But the best products are built by people who understand the craft. Deep expertise is what turns good data into real insight. We built this to support astrologers and serious practitioners, not to replace them.
What calculation engine does the API use?
The Swiss Ephemeris. The same engine used by professional astrology software and research institutions. We cross-validate against NASA JPL Horizons data to confirm accuracy.
Do all tiers include interpretations?
Yes. Every tier returns pre-written interpretations with each data point. Enterprise adds AI-generated narratives that weave everything together into a cohesive, personalized reading.
